Timo becomes a direct response copywriter

Post by nusaibatara »

That's why I decided to specialize in designing advertising that could be proven to work. That meant direct response advertising and direct marketing across all channels, from online to print. I was going to become a copywriter. To be more precise, a direct response copywriter.

When I started over ten years ago, there was practically no one in Finland from whom I could learn this skill.

I also decided that if I was greece phone number data going to learn this skill properly, I had to learn it from the best copywriter in the world. Top of my list was Ogilvy's acclaimed Drayton Bird.

Direct marketing is simple and crude. For example, you write an email sales letter and the customer sends it to their list. If it sells, you're a hero. If it fails, you're unlikely to get a second chance. Explanations don't help.

This is why most marketing people avoid even talking about sales in the context of marketing and advertising. Because the sales results could reveal that what they consider to be a brilliant campaign actually resulted in a loss.

The rough game has its advantages.

Because direct marketing measures exactly what works and what doesn’t, it allows you to learn quickly. If you’re disciplined, humble, and persistent, you can develop your skills almost indefinitely. You’ll see the results of your work immediately. You’ll get immediate feedback. People will either take action after seeing your ad or they won’t. There’s no guessing or fearing that you’ll be exposed as a fraud years later.

A copywriter can develop endlessly and thus sell more products and services (on their own account or on behalf of clients). This allows you to charge more for your services and clients – that is, advertisers – will be happy to pay your commission. Because it is a good investment.

For example, that's why my success rate is now around 97%, regardless of the industry. That means that my work almost always produces results, such as more sales, profits, and customers. ( You can read customer feedback here .)

However, achieving it didn't happen overnight, in one week, or even in a couple of months. So what?
